HIGHTAIL BAR

The quirky Hightail Bar designed by Techne makes quite a statement with its neon signage and artist-designed features. It’s also the first job that has required the Mood team to attach custom bird claws.

Custom joinery and bespoke steel work by Mood included:

• 5m-long solid tassie oak shelving and wine glass rack, suspended with powder coated steel round bar
• ‘Bird claw’ shelf with artist-designed bird claws, cast in bronze and attached to steel droppers with a ‘gun blue’ patina
• 1m-deep h-shaped display cabinet, including mirrored lining, integrated led lighting and toughened glass shelves and with both sides accessible via glazed black steel lockable doors
• Wrap-around wall-mounted shelves and wine glass racks in solid tassie oak, mitred to create an 80mm-thick section, mounted to the walls with invisible fixings
